Daniel ‘D.J.’ Rivera


Clinical Supervisor

Daniel “DJ” Rivera is a clinical supervisor at Catholic Community Services Recovery Centers with more than a decade of progressive experience in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment. DJ is well known and highly regarded for his passionate advocacy and dedication to his clients and community. DJ provides clinical oversight to substance use disorder professionals and trainees at Catholic Community Services. He oversees adult and youth recovery programs, including the Snohomish County Adult Recovery Court.

DJ is a faculty member at Edmonds College in the Social and Human Services Department. DJ teaches addiction studies courses and contributes to curriculum development grounded in current best practices. He is actively engaged in community leadership through advisory boards and nonprofit governance, reflecting a commitment to education, advocacy, and the advancement of behavioral health services.

DJ has extensive experience partnering with therapeutic courts, schools, and community agencies to deliver evidence-based treatment services for youth and adults. He is a certified GAIN Assessor, a certified facilitator in Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), and a Seven Challenges Leader, with a strong focus on trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care. DJ is also trained in Contingency Management for Youth Addiction and currently oversees the Contingency Management program for the youth and adult programs at the Snohomish County CCS Recovery Centers.
